1:42 AM 8th july .. finally .. the end .. no more section 2 for us to sit , eat , sleep , laugh , talk .. no more running into the bar to prepare drinks or get the bill .. no more standing at the counter and laughing our heads off for no apparent reason .. no more waiting by the waffle machine for the kitchen to throw out dishes .. no more staring at the customers through the bamboo poles .. no more hiding behind the counter drinking water or eating snacks .. no more wanyee .. i never expected to feel this way about work before .. every second i'm not at TPS , to me , is a second wasted .. funny how things turned out .. i didn't know being part of a service crew could add so much joy into my life .. if on that fateful day , i didn't walk past the pasta shop , i would never have gotten to meet all of them .. if firdaus had transferred me to wheelock with him , i would never have known that tiong bahru had such a powerful crew .. never really expected tiong bahru to last only a year but i'm proud to say that i've been with it for more than half its life span .. i remember my first day of work .. none of you were there .. they were wheelock people waiting to be transferred there .. there was jackson , shuling , gary , jason i think .. i was so scared !! i remember what i was thinking the night before , i remember walking through those doors and seeing how things worked for the first time .. most memorable thing that day ? i shouting IRASHIEMAHSEN haha .. down the months , i made loads of mistakes but i learnt from them and i got to where i am today .. and i'm proud of what i've achieved :) .. we laughed , we cried , we ate , we slept , we stoned , we talked , we danced , we sang , we partied , we got drunk , we got angry , we got pissed , we shouted , we screamed , we jumped , we walked , we ran , we played pranks on each other , we harvested each other's farms , we threw each other into dustbins , we laughed at customers behind their backs , we splashed water onto each other , we invented new food and drinks , we celebrated each other's birthdays , we built bonds with each other that no other can break .. most importantly , we met each other :) [ lulu , wendy , firdaus , cindy , wanyee , riyan , stacey , tom , felicia , lingling , joe , sipei , gary , peiqi , carene , meiqi , meixuan , yini , huisian , huizhen , ruijun , guan cheng , jerry , joyce , ah lun brice , evelyn , william , ah cai , hazel , rose , me ] |
